Pet X-rays and dental radiographs for pets are essential for Ohio Drive Animal Hospital to provide high quality dental care for pets. Unfortunately, it is very common for severe dental problems to go undetected for long periods of time, even upon close inspection of the surface of the teeth and mouth. The most effective way to identify small dental problems in pets before they become larger (and generally more painful) is by using dental radiography for pets to examine the health of a tooth roots and jawbone. Ohio Drive Animal Hospital will perform full mouth radiographs on all of our routine dental cleanings for pets to help insure that we do not overlook any problems while they are still small and easy to fix. With our skilled veterinary radiograph technicians, the process only adds 15-25 minutes to the entire veterinary procedure, while greatly improving the ability of Ohio Drive Animal Hospital to offer the best possible medical care for our patients.
The digital radiography equipment at Ohio Drive Animal Hospital allows for much greater flexibility then standard veterinary radiography equipment by allowing us to take very high fidelity images that can be enhanced for viewing in all kinds of useful ways. It also allows us to send out radiographs and pet x-rays to other veterinary specialists for evaluation with a 24-72 hour turn around for the cases that require it. All in all, digital radiography is far more convenient to use, which frees up more time to focus on all of the other important tasks we need to accomplish to better care for our patients.
